We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Data Modeler to join our client's team through Acme Services. This pivotal role is responsible for designing and developing robust data models by engaging directly with business stakeholders and performing in-depth data analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, and hands-on experience with complex SQL queries. You should be an individual contributor capable of working independently while demonstrating a solid understanding of data management concepts and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Model Creation: Create comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models by engaging directly with business users and thoroughly analyzing existing data structures.
- Data Analysis & Understanding: Deeply analyze and understand the subject areas, domains, data, attributes, and entities available within the organization's data landscape.
- Modeling Approaches: Apply expertise in both bottom-up and top-down data modeling approaches to develop flexible and scalable data solutions.
- Data Management Concepts: Demonstrate a strong understanding of data management concepts such as traceability, lineage, system of record and authority, master data, and reference data.
- SQL Querying: Utilize hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis, profiling, and validation purposes.
- Independent Contribution: Operate as an individual contributor, capable of working independently or with minimal support, thereby ensuring timely delivery of data models and related artifacts.
- Client Interaction: Possess the ability to talk to clients directly during onshore hours for effective coordination and to gather essential inputs required for data model development.
- Agile Methodology: Work effectively within an Agile working methodology, adapting to evolving requirements and contributing to iterative development cycles.
- Tool Proficiency (Nice to Have): (Nice to have) Utilize experience in creating data models using tools like Erwin/ER Studio Data Modeling.

- Good experience in Data Modelling/DWH/Data Analysis.
- Understanding of data management concepts such as traceability, lineage, system of record and authority, master data, and reference data.
- Awareness of Agile working methodology.
- Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor with minimal support.
- Capable of direct client interaction for requirements gathering and coordination.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role focused on data architecture.
- Demonstrable expertise in designing various types of data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-related challenges.
- Experience in creating data models in Erwin/ER Studio Data Modeling tool (nice to have).

- Experience with a Modern (Cloud) Data warehouse.
