Position Overview
We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Miner / Industry Research Analyst who will be responsible for continuous data sourcing, mining, structuring, and analysis related to our industry.
The role focuses on gathering project data, tender information, customer databases, competitor intelligence, market trends, pricing benchmarks, and government infrastructure data, and converting it into actionable insights for management, sales, and strategy teams.
Key Responsibilities
Data Mining & Sourcing
Continuously source and mine data related to:
Infrastructure and railway projects
EPC contractors, consultants, and government bodies
Tenders, RFQs, and upcoming projects
Cement plants, industrial plants, and infrastructure developers
Extract data from public portals, government websites, tender platforms, industry reports, trade directories, and databases.
Market & Industry Research
Track market trends, demand patterns, and growth opportunities in infrastructure and railway sectors.
Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, pricing trends, approvals, and expansions.
Research new geographies, customers, and segments for business expansion.
Data Structuring & Management
Clean, validate, and structure raw data into Excel, CRM-ready formats, and dashboards.
Maintain updated databases of:
Customers and prospects
Projects and tenders
Competitors and pricing benchmarks
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and regular updates.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for sales, business development, and management teams.
Generate lead lists, project pipelines, and opportunity trackers.
Provide actionable insights to support sales planning, targeting, and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Support
Work closely with sales, marketing, strategy, and management teams.
Support CRM data population and lead qualification.
Assist in preparing presentations, pitch decks, and market intelligence reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in data mining, market research, business intelligence, or industry research roles.
Prior exposure to infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, or B2B industries is preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
Experience working with CRM systems and large datasets.
Ability to source data from multiple online and offline platforms.
Good understanding of tender portals and public data sources (preferred).
Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau - optional but desirable).
