Manager - Data Services

Role Overview : The manager will work closely with DGM Data warehouse for implementation of various projects in Data Services Support. He/she will be working closely with business and other technology team to understand the requirement and execution

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and mentor a team of Data Engineering and BI professionals while driving the strategy behind the data warehouse.
• Responsible for the full data engineering lifecycle including exploration, POC, Architecture, Design, Development, Test, Deployment and Maintenance of enterprise data.
• Establish close working relationships with other technology teams and business users.
• implement solutions and standards for data ingestion, Transformation, storage, and aggregation that solve current business problems and reduce the risk of future challenges.
• Design and implement multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data marts, Dimensions, and Cubes while adhering to enforced development methodologies.
• Design and implement the data loading (ETL) and publishing processes within the DW/BI environment.
• Design and implement reporting applications including (but not limited to) BI dashboards, reporting cubes and static report.
• Design and implement required interfaces for the data warehouse including BI tools and other applications used by the business.
• Develop, implement and maintain test strategies and plans.
• Promote a cohesive & high-performance work environment by continuously engaging with the team members, providing development feedback and right training inputs.
• Review the performance of the team members on a regular basis and help them to improve the productivity.
• Monitor, facilitate and ensure the team adheres to the processes.
• Guide / mentor and train the team members in building their capabilities and improving their performance.
• Actively participate / contribute in continuous improvement projects
• Experience working in any relevant ETL Tools such as Informatica, Datastage, Teradata, etc.,
• Good knowledge in any one visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBi, Qlik view, etc.,. are desirable.
• Experience working with large data pipelines that process data using Spark, Scala, Python, Apache Kafka, etc.,. are desirable
• Experience with Batch and Real time data processing techniques.

Skill and Competencies :

• Ability to perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
• Experience in using any ETL tools (Informatica, Datastage, Teradata etc.,.) Unix shell scripting.
• Strong experience in configuring and building SQL Analysis cubes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Report generation skills.
• Strong development experience within highly scalable/critical projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Very strong technical and architectural background with good mobile industry experience.
• Graduation and post-graduation degree with 15+ years of overall experience in data warehouse.
