Role Overview
This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide data management and modern data platform strategy. It ensures the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of MDM frameworks, scalable data architectures, and robust cloud & data integration strategies. The position enables trusted, governed data across systems, supporting analytics, compliance, and business operations at ELGi.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise-wide data management and modern data platform strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and cloud-native architectures that support analytics and business operations.
- Design, implement, and govern Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks across key domains such as customer, product, supplier, and asset data.
- Oversee data integration and pipeline architecture, enabling high-quality, real-time data flow across ERP, CRM, MES, PLM, and other enterprise systems.
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality, metadata, and lineage standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with business leaders, IT teams, and governance offices to translate business needs into high-impact data use cases.
- Drive adoption of advanced tooling for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing data team, fostering engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous capability building.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, DPDP, PII) across platforms and processes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in data management, MDM, and data platform leadership roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with MDM tools (Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, or equivalent) and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
- Proven experience in designing data integration architectures using technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar.
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, MES, PLM) in complex, global environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial domains and global setups is strongly preferred.
