JOB TITLE: Data Integration Tech Lead (Oracle ODI/OIC)

Location: Bangalore. Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune ,Gurgaon, Kolkata

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking an energetic and technically proficient Data Integration Tech Lead to design, build, and optimize robust data integration and analytics solutions using the Oracle technology stack. This role puts you at the core of our enterprise data modernization efforts, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end data integration pipelines across traditional and cloud platforms.

while maintaining the highest standards of data quality, lineage, and governance. You will work hands-on and lead a small team of developers, shaping best practices for data integration workflows and collaborating with Analytics/BI teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Data Integration Lead the design, development, deployment, and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), supporting both batch and real-time data flows. Architect seamless data movement across business applications, warehouses, lakes, and external systems leveraging REST/SOAP APIs and SOA integrations. Data Modeling & Transformation Integrate and enforce data modeling best practices for source-to-target data mapping and transformation (logical/physical modeling, normalization/denormalization, dimensional design). Oversee data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and exception handling to ensure completeness, conformity, and consistency. Data Quality & Governance Champion data quality, lineage, and metadata management as fundamental aspects of all integration processes. Establish and enforce standards for data validation, error handling, and monitoring as part of integration workflows. Analytics Enablement & Collaboration Work closely with Analytics/BI teams to supply clean, integrated, and modeled data sets for reporting and advanced analytics (OBIEE, OAC, FDI). Collaborate with stakeholders to identify integration requirements, gather technical specifications, and translate them into actionable data engineering plans. Performance & Optimization Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune ongoing data integration processes for optimal reliability, timeliness, and scalability. Recommend and implement best practices for performance enhancement and cost optimization within Oracle cloud and on-prem environments. Team Leadership & Best Practices Mentor and support data developers and analysts working on ETL, data migration, and modeling tasks. Document workflows, integration patterns, and provide knowledge transfer and training as needed.

Mandatory Skills:

Experience:

612 years of progressive experience in enterprise data integration, with at least 4 years hands-on experience in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Strong understanding and working experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle databases, and related cloud infrastructure.

Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale ETL/ELT solutions across hybrid (on-prem/cloud) architectures.

Technical Proficiency:

Deep hands-on expertise with ODI components (Topology, Designer, Operator, Agent) and OIC (Integration patterns, adapters, process automation).

Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and transformation.

Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, batch scheduling, and scripting (Python, Shell, or similar) for process automation.

Data modeling proficiency (logical/physical, dimensional, OLAP/OLTP).

Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), OBIEE, and integration into analytics platforms.

Solid understanding of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage documentation.

Setting up topology, building objects in Designer, Monitoring Operator, different type of KMs, Agents etc

Packaging components, database operations like Aggregate pivot, union etc.

Using ODI mappings, error handling, automation using ODI, Migration of Objects

Design and develop complex mappings, Process Flows and ETL scripts

Expertise in developing Load Plans, Scheduling Jobs

Ability to design data quality and reconciliation framework using ODI

Integrate ODI with multiple Source / Target

Experience on Error recycling / management using ODI, PL/SQL

Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL concepts, design, and coding

Must have good verbal and written communication in English, Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a time critical environment.

Collaboration & Communication:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with business/technical stakeholders at multiple levels.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative SDLC environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience/exposure to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Exadata, or other modern data storage/lake solutions.

Knowledge of other BI/analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI) and enterprise data governance.

Oracle certifications (ODI, OIC, OAC) are a strong plus.

Experience with CI/CD in the context of data pipelines, and DevOps concepts for data engineering projects.

Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance best practices in enterprise environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
