Data Governance Engineer - Immuta

Role Overview

We are seeking for Immuta experienced Data Governance Engineer to design and implement fine-grained data access control and governance policies across modern data platforms. This role will focus on securing sensitive data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling safe data access for business users.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage Immuta for data access control and governance

Design and enforce RBAC/ABAC policies for secure data access

Configure dynamic data masking, filtering, and anonymization

Integrate Immuta with platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery

Collaborate with data engineering teams to enforce governance policies

Monitor and audit data access and usage

Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, etc.)

Automate policy enforcement across data pipelines

Required Skills

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Governance / Data Security

Hands-on experience with Immuta (or similar tools like Privacera, Ranger)

Strong understanding of RBAC, ABAC, and data access policies

Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)

Proficiency in SQL and Python

Understanding of data privacy and compliance frameworks

Good to Have

Experience with OpenMetadata / Collibra / Alation

Knowledge of data lineage and metadata management

API integration experience

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
