The Datacenter Operations Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Summary

Oversee high-volume client data lifecycles, ETL configuration, and script-based automation. Ensures operational continuity through robust file processing, vendor integration, and proactive data quality management.

Key Responsibilities

● Data Operations: Manage raw file processing, verification, and reconciliation via secure portals (SFTP) and Interprose across all clinical portfolios.

● Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct regular portfolio audits to identify data decay and ensure alignment with established layout mapping and network directory structures (J Drive).

● Quality Assurance & Optimization: Perform rigorous audit cycles and propose systemic automation fixes to streamline manual workflows and improve data traceability.

● Post-Incident Analysis: Participate in post-incident reviews by documenting technical blockers and proposing systemic fixes for operational outages.

● Collaboration & Continuity: Partner with cross-functional teams to align workflows and maintain process redundancy through active team cross-training and mentorship.

● Data Governance: Implement audit cycles for data decay, perform compliance checks, and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date Living SOPs.

Qualifications

● Technical: Expertise in file system navigation, basic command-line queries, and diagnostic tools to verify data integrity. Proficiency in CSV, Excel, and fixed-width formats.

● Operational Consistency: Strict adherence to established SOPs, layout mapping, and file processing standards.

● Analytical: Ability to resolve routine file anomalies independently and escalate complex defects within defined 1-hour windows.

● Professional: Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional alignment.

● Resilience & Adaptability: Proven ability to remain productive during high-volume processing windows, prioritize critical tasks, and pivot quickly as system priorities shift.

● Ownership: Personal accountability for the full lifecycle of assigned project tasks and proactive mentorship of backup team members.

Performance Indicators

● Ensure 100% accurate file ingestion and processing within daily windows.

● Maintain 100% compliance with SOP documentation and layout mapping.

● Proactively flag and escalate anomalies within 30 minutes of detection.

● Maintain zero unlogged or silent failures in production runs.

● Professional Development: Commit to completing ongoing technical or professional development training each quarter.

Escalation Framework

● Tier 2 Resolution: Serve as the resolution point for investigating and resolving complex technical issues and data integrity defects that require deep-dive analysis.

● Director Escalation: Reserve for critical, revenue-impacting outages or architectural blockers only.
