Our Client is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Leader to define and execute enterprise data engineering strategy while leading high-performing teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and drive the data engineering vision, roadmap, and strategic initiatives aligned with business goals
- Lead and manage a distributed team of data engineers across multiple projects and geographies
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads to build strong technical and leadership capabilities
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design and oversee implementation of scalable data pipelines and architectures across cloud platforms
- Address complex data challenges including multi-source integration, data harmonization, and normalization
- Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability, and governance across enterprise systems
- Leverage modern cloud and data technologies to enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making
Delivery & Execution
- Manage multiple high-priority projects with tight timelines and evolving requirements
- Estimate project effort, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes
- Drive adoption of best practices, documentation standards, and efficient workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage vendor relationships and strategic partnerships related to data platforms
- Influence stakeholders across business and technology teams to drive alignment and decision-making
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Risk & Governance
- Identify risks associated with data and AI initiatives and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices

Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Experience:
- 10–12+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- 3+ years of experience leading data engineering teams
- Experience working within consumer, healthcare, or similar industries is preferred
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Expertise in data platforms and tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data transformation frameworks
- Experience with modern data integration techniques (APIs, streaming, batch processing)
- Knowledge of scalable data pipeline design and distributed data systems
