Data Engineering / Data Controls Lead

Job title: Data Engineering / Data Controls Lead — Offshore/Hybrid

Primary purpose: Execute the detailed technical analysis and remediation of data pipelines and financial data flows.

Responsibilities

• Trace financial data from source through downstream systems and GL.
• Document data lineage.
• Analyze ETL/ELT processes.
• Identify completeness, accuracy, transformation, and reconciliation risks.
• Develop automated validation controls.
• Evaluate pipeline access and deployment controls.
• Support SOD remediation.
• Develop technical evidence for controls.
• Perform data analysis and population testing.
• Support IPE validation.
• Work directly with client data engineering teams.

Ideal profile

• 5–8 years data engineering/data quality experience.
• Strong SQL.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, databases, ETL/ELT and APIs.
• Understanding of SOX/IPE is highly desirable.
• Able to communicate technical findings in audit/control language.
