About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Python Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python development, Snowflake data warehousing, data modelling, and automation. This role requires someone who can independently drive data engineering initiatives, build robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data.
• Design and implement Snowflake data models, schemas, and database objects.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, validation, and monitoring processes.
• Optimize SQL queries and improve Snowflake performance.
• Build reusable frameworks for data processing and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and best engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term solutions.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python for data engineering.
• Expertise in Snowflake (Data Modelling, Performance Tuning, Automation).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in designing complex queries.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data integration frameworks.
• Exposure to REST APIs and data ingestion.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Experience Required

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Ability to work independently and own end-to-end delivery.

1. Python Data Engineering – Strong hands-on experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python.
2. Snowflake – Expertise in Data Modelling, Query Optimization, and Automation.
