Data Engineer

We're Hiring – Data Engineer (Delhi | Full-time)

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We're seeking a results-driven and experienced Data Engineer to contribute to the data foundation. In this role you will work across multiple data sources, build automated pipelines, design scalable data models, and enable advanced analytics and ML-driven applications. You will have full ownership of your workstream with the creative freedom to propose and implement solutions.

You'll also receive weekly feedback to help you grow quickly and understand what it takes to move to the next level.

Role Details

• Reporting To: Cofounder
• Experience: 3–10 years
• Location: Delhi (Hauz Khas)
• Work Mode: (Work from Office + Remote)
• Work Schedule: 5 days a week
• Joining: Immediate or max 1-month notice period

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• It's an individual contributor role where you will own the Data Engineering function completely and single-handedly.
• Set up daily jobs to extract data from multiple sources (SQL / No-SQL DBs, APIs, web analytics tools, Google Sheets, CRM systems, etc).
• Build automated and scalable ETL pipelines using various managed and open-source tools.
• Do R&D on selecting the best tool required for our business use case.
• Setup cloud infrastructure end-to-end required to host the DB and run cron jobs.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (via Slack/webhooks/job-tracker).
• Define database schema and implement Medallion architecture.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering role.
• Strong know-how of Python (Pandas, ETL scripting, APIs) and SQL.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL / AWS S3 / Redshift / Google BQ, etc.
• Writing shell scripts & cron jobs on Linux, and deploying it on cloud/VPS.
• Ability to read and understand API documentation and setup webhooks.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, DB design, and analytics engineering.
• Clear and structured communication in English
