About the Job:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing data platform team, responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to build end-to-end data pipelines that power decision-making, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Data engineering background, should be comfortable working with large datasets, implementing data quality checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and production-grade data solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines that support structured and semi-structured data ingestion (CSV, fixed-width, JSON, etc.), using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
• Develop robust, reusable data processing workflows leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Big Query, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, DataProc, and Apache Beam or equivalent AWS/Azure technologies.
• Write clean, high-performance code in Python or Java, and develop optimized SQL queries for transformation, aggregation, and reporting needs.
• Implement and manage end-to-end automated data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, performance, and monitoring across the entire lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and other team members.
• Implemented E2E automated pipeline to ingest the data from different formats (csv, fixed width, json etc.)
• Ensure strong data governance, access control, and security configurations, especially in environments like Big Query, with a focus on secure data sharing and compliance.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or master's Degree in computer science/ Statistics/ Data Science/ Engineering
2. 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a focus on applying machine learning in banking or fintech domains
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python or Java, for data pipeline and ETL/ELT development. Strong expertise in SQL,
4. Proven experience designing and deploying production-grade, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions on at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable).
5. Hands-on experience in building Credit risk models for other financial institutions/ Retail/ B2C start-ups/ SystemIntegrator companies/Banking Product is mandatory
