We are looking for an experienced
Data Engineer – Snowflake + IICS with
7–10 years of overall experience and strong expertise in
Data Warehousing, Snowflake, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), ETL/ELT, SQL, and Data Modeling.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, migrating, and implementing scalable data solutions on Snowflake. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise along with the ability to work directly with Business and IT teams to understand requirements, resolve dependencies, and deliver business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement scalable data solutions using Snowflake.
- Design and implement data/enterprise engineering workloads and migrations onto Snowflake.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT mappings and workflows using IICS (Informatica Cloud).
- Build data pipelines to ingest source data from SAP S/4HANA into Snowflake.
- Develop complex Snowflake SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, and UDFs.
- Implement incremental data processing and Change Data Capture (CDC) using Snowflake Streams and Tasks.
- Use Snowflake ingestion capabilities such as COPY INTO, Snowpipe, and related utilities.
- Implement Time Travel and other Snowflake data management capabilities.
- Design and maintain scalable data models for analytical and enterprise workloads.
- Perform SQL query optimization and Snowflake performance tuning.
- Develop automated data processing solutions using Snowflake Tasks.
- Implement and maintain Snowflake Data Sharing and Data Replication solutions.
- Explore and implement newer Snowflake capabilities, including Snowflake Cortex and other modern features where applicable.
- Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering solutions using Azure DevOps or GitLab.
- Work closely with Business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on requirements, dependencies, issues, and delivery status.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
- Ensure data pipelines and solutions meet performance, reliability, security, and quality standards.
Required Skills- 7–10 years of overall IT/Data Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Warehousing technologies.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including design, development, implementation, and migration.
- Strong hands-on experience with IICS / Informatica Cloud and ETL mappings.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake SQL.
- Experience developing:
- Stored Procedures
- Views
- UDFs
- Complex SQL queries
- Strong understanding of Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA as a source system and loading data into Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Snowflake Streams
- Snowflake Tasks
- Time Travel
- Snowpipe
- COPY INTO
- CDC / Incremental Loads
- Strong understanding of Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Sharing and Data Replication.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Snowflake Cortex and other recent Snowflake features.
- Experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps using Azure DevOps or GitLab.
- Experience with automated deployment of Snowflake/IICS components.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale Snowflake migration projects.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience across:
SAP S/4HANA → IICS → Snowflake → Data Modeling → SQL/Stored Procedures → CDC → Streams/Tasks → Performance Tuning
Candidates with strong
Snowflake development and IICS ETL experience, rather than purely Snowflake administration or reporting experience, will be preferred.
