Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer – Snowflake with strong expertise in designing, developing, and optimising modern cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, ETL/data pipelines, Azure ecosystem, and big data technologies.
The candidate will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to build scalable and high-performance data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure technologies.
- Implement and optimize Snowflake architecture, including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and data ingestion frameworks.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and Snowflake SQL scripts.
- Build and manage data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Work with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and data issues.
- Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and internals.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL, Snow pipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Strong SQL programming skills.
- Experience in ETL/Data Pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Good knowledge of Azure Data bricks.
- Strong experience with Apache Spark and PySpark.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modelling.
- Experience working in cloud-based data engineering environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in Snowflake.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in agile environments.
