Job Description: Data Engineer - SAP BW to Microsoft Fabric Migration

Job Summary:
We are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support a large-scale data modernization initiative.This role focuses on the migration from SAP Business Warehouse (BW) to Microsoft Fabric, offering the opportunity to work on a high-impact transformation project in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end migration from SAP BW to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Evaluate and interpret existing SAP BW data models, ETL workflows, and reporting landscapes
- Build and deploy modern, scalable data architectures within Microsoft Fabric
- Create, improve, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Safeguard data accuracy, consistency, performance, and scalability throughout the migration process
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, distributed environment
- Act as a technical advisor, sharing best practices and supporting stakeholders during the transition
Required Technical Skils:
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP BW (Business Warehouse)
- Demonstrated success in migrating or transforming SAP BW environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric (preferred) and Power BI
- Proven capabilities in data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics transformation
- Solid knowledge of modern data platform architectures and transformation strategies
- Strong English communication skills (required)
- Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP BW/BW4HANA.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience in Finance and Manufacturing domains is mandatory.
