We are hiring for one of our clients collaborating with a leading AI lab. This role involves designing, validating, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data contracts to produce clean, reliable, and reproducible datasets for analytics and machine learning systems. The position is ideal for candidates passionate about building resilient data pipelines, ensuring data quality at scale, and supporting AI research and production workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Validate and enrich datasets to ensure analytics- and ML-readiness.
- Manage data schemas, versioning, and contracts to maintain consistency.
- Work with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQLite) and distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, DuckDB).
- Orchestrate workflows using Airflow or similar tools.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to align pipelines with project and research requirements.
- Ensure reproducibility, reliability, and quality across all data workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- Background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, pandas, and SQL.
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite) and distributed data processing (Spark, DuckDB).
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of data schemas, versioning, and Git-based version control.
- Experience working with common data formats such as JSON, CSV, and Parquet.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience designing robust data pipelines for analytics or machine learning applications.
- Experience in reproducible data workflows for AI research.
