Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer (GCP) to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, BigQuery, and Power BI, along with a strong analytical mindset to drive business insights and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
• Design and implement Medallion Architecture for scalable and structured data processing.
• Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Perform proactive data analysis to identify process improvements and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, integrating data from multiple sources.
• Define data integration strategies focused on scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and databases within BigQuery.
• Create automation scripts and workflows to improve data processing efficiency.
• Ensure data quality, governance, consistency, and compliance across datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Big Data environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and modern data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of data cleansing, transformation, validation, and data quality practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python for data engineering and automation.
• Exposure to cloud-based data lakes and modern analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
