About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (SWE Bench – Data Engineer / Data Science) to join our team and contribute to benchmark-driven evaluation projects focused on real-world data engineering and data science workflows. This role involves hands-on work with production-like datasets, designing and building data pipelines, and executing data science tasks to evaluate and enhance the performance of advanced AI systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in data engineering and data science, with the ability to work across various stages of data preparation, analysis, and modeling within complex codebases. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI evaluation projects, collaborate with top researchers and engineers, and contribute to impactful AI advancements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on data workflows.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering and data science tasks.
- Experience with data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation for machine learning workflows.
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data science principles.
- Hands-on experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Ability to navigate, understand, and modify complex, real-world codebases effectively.
- Proven ability to write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially with data-intensive or algorithmic challenges.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support evaluation tasks aligned with SWE Bench standards.
- Design, develop, and validate data pipelines used in benchmarking and evaluation workflows.
- Perform data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation for data science applications.
- Write, run, and optimize Python scripts to process data and support experimental workflows locally.
- Assess data quality, transformations, and output accuracy to ensure reproducibility and reliability.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows suitable for benchmarking purposes.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with research teams and engineering colleagues to design challenging, real-world data engineering and data science tasks for AI systems evaluation.
