Job Description

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: PAN India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Mph-DLF IT PARK, Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake, SQL, Talend, and Datastage. This role requires a strong understanding of data architecture and cloud technologies, particularly AWS S3, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
  • Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ELT).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Document data processes, architectures, and workflows for future reference and compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and cloud technologies.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in Snowflake and SQL for data warehousing and ELT processes.
  • Experience with Talend and Datastage for data integration and transformation.
  • Strong understanding of AWS S3 for data storage solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with additional cloud platforms and services.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud technologies are a plus.
