Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer in our Business Reporting Centre, you will manage the data workflow from various ERP systems to our data warehouse. Your role includes overseeing ETL processes, maintaining data quality and integrity, and developing a secure data warehouse infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction from ERP systems.
• Develop and maintain data warehouses, focusing on database design and maintenance.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
• Implement data access controls and security measures.
• Work with BI Developers, providing data for Power BI reporting.
• Strong experience in BI reporting, especially with Power BI.
• Proficiency in data modelling and data visualisation.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, big data technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform is advantageous.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Demonstrated around 4 to 7 years of experience in data engineering and database management.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or Java, and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and data security.
• Strong written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
