Role: Data Engineer
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Data Engineer who can own end-to-end data engineering and analytics initiatives at Mojro. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and empower teams with actionable insights through BI and visualization tools. This role requires a mix of strong technical skills, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment .
Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage of structured and unstructured datasets.
Enable real-time and batch data processing with modern frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Flink, etc.).
Work with data science and product teams to provide clean, well-structured datasets for modeling and analytics.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as
Power BI, Superset, Metabase, or other open-source BI platforms .
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into insightful, interactive visualizations.
Implement robust
ETL/ELT processes , ensuring data governance, quality checks, and lineage tracking.
Contribute to architecture discussions on data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse solutions.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to continuously improve Mojros data and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
36 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong programming skills in
Python, Java .
Hands-on experience with
Big Data frameworks
(Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Flink).
Solid knowledge of
SQL, NoSQL, and data warehouse/lakehouse technologies .
Experience with
BI & analytics tools : Power BI (mandatory), plus familiarity with open-source BI solutions like Apache Superset, Metabase, or Grafana.
Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
Understanding of data modeling, ETL design, and performance optimization .
Exposure to containerized deployments
(Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
