Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric to design, build, and optimize scalable
data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
This role focuses on implementing modern data platforms, enabling analytics and AI use cases, and
supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in
Azure data services, data engineering best practices, and building reliable, high-performance data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components such as Data
Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and OneLake.
• Build and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch, real-time, and streaming data processing.
• Develop and optimize Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using OneLake.
• Implement data transformation logic using SQL, PySpark, and Python.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across data platforms.
• Collaborate with architects to implement enterprise data architecture and standards.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Support development of Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reporting layers.
• Implement data security, governance, and compliance practices in alignment with enterprise
standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and performance.
• Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering with strong hands-on expertise.
Common Requirements:
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Hands-on experience with:
o Azure Data Factory / Fabric Data Factory
o Azure Synapse Analytics / Fabric Data Engineering
o OneLake
o Power BI (data modeling and dataset support)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark (PySpark preferred).
Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience with distributed data processing and large datasets.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and version control practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineer certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance.
• Exposure to real-time/streaming technologies.
• Knowledge of AI/ML data preparation workflows.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Domain experience in Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services, or Manufacturing.
