Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions to support asset management use cases such as portfolio analytics, risk reporting, and regulatory compliance. Drive end-to-end data pipeline development using AWS services ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices, code quality, and timely delivery. Oversee data integration, transformation, and orchestration processes across multiple data sources. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are adhered to. Provide technical leadership in architecture discussions, solution design, and decision-making processes. Act as the primary point of contact for customer interactions on technical deliverables and escalations. Required Technical Skills Must Have Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in complex query optimization and data modeling. Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including: AWS Athena AWS Lambda AWS Step Functions AWS EMR AWS Glue Amazon QuickSight Databricks Experience in building and managing ETLELT pipelines and large-scale data processing systems. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and distributed processing. Leadership Stakeholder Management Proven experience in team management, including mentoring, task allocation, and performance management. Strong customer management skills, with experience in handling client communication, expectations, and escalations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Asset Management Financial Services domain. Understanding of financial data such as portfolios, securities, pricing, and risk metrics. Familiarity with Agile delivery models and tools like Jira, Confluence. Certifications in AWS or data engineering technologies are a plus. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
