Data Engineer

We are looking for a versatile AWS Data Engineer / AWS Developer to join our growing data engineering practice at Incedo Inc. In this role, you will own the design and delivery of enterprise-grade cloud data platforms while also building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS. You will work closely with clients to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data and application solutions, operate in production-critical environments, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Engineering & Platform Architecture

• Architect and lead development of scalable cloud data platforms on AWS – including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions, and EC2
• Design and implement data models, dimensional schemas, and data lake architectures aligned to business use cases
• Build and maintain production ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and dBT
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all production data assets

AWS Application Development

• Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications integrating with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS
• Write high-quality application code using AWS SDKs and CLI, embedding best practices for security, scalability, and performance
• Implement serverless architectures and event-driven patterns to solve business problems

DevOps, CI/CD & Containerization

• Drive CI/CD automation using GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and AWS Developer Tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy)
• Design and manage containerized workloads on ECS / EKS, ensuring reliable, repeatable deployments
• Define infrastructure and engineering standards, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior and senior engineers

Client Engagement & Production Ownership

• Act as the primary technical advisor to client and business stakeholders – translating complex requirements into delivery roadmaps
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents with a sense of urgency and ownership
• Manage identity, access, and security configurations using IAM and Amazon Cognito
