How will you make an impact in this role

This is a great opportunity to join the Enterprise Business Intelligence Engineering, part of Unified Data Intelligence Tech (UDIT) within American Express Technologies. You will be part of a fast-paced, Cobrand product reporting team. The Cobrand reporting leverages American Express Enterprise Data Assets & capabilities to provide easy-to-access business intelligence reports to the Relationship Managers (Internal and External) of American Express Co-Brand relationships

Minimum Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years of DATA engineering experience with proven hands-on experience in Big Data technologies and Business Intelligence
  • Understanding of Agile or other rapid application development methods. Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate
  • Exposure to application design, software development, and automated testing methodologies

  • Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, and relational databases

• Technical Skill :

  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP):

    • BigQuery

    • Cloud Composer (Airflow/DAG orchestration)

    • Dataproc

  • Experience handling large-scale Big Data processing and distributed data transformation frameworks

  • Advanced SQL expertise, including stored procedures

  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres

  • Good understanding of CI/CD practices using Git, Jenkins, and code integration/review processes

  • Ability to work with complex data lakes and modern data architectures

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
