Purpose of the Role

The Enterprise Data Development team is responsible for designing and architecting solutions to integrate and transform business data into Data Warehouse platforms to deliver enterprise data capabilities using cutting-edge cloud technologies such as GCP.

We design solutions to meet the expanding need for more internal and external information to be integrated with existing sources research, implement, and leverage new technologies to deliver more actionable insights to the enterprise.

We integrate solutions that combine processes, technology landscapes, and business information from core enterprise data sources that form our corporate information factory to provide end-to-end solutions for the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, create, code, and support a variety of data pipelines and models on any cloud technology (GCP preferred).
  • Partner with business analysts, architects, and other key project stakeholders to deliver business initiatives.
  • Seek to learn new skills, mentor newer team members, build domain expertise, and document processes.
  • Actively build knowledge of D&T resources, people, and technology.
  • Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and processes in the big data space.
  • Collaboratively troubleshoot technical and performance issues in the data space.
  • Lean into ambiguity and partner with others to find solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to contribute work to the broader GMI data community.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, tasks, and navigate through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Lead small projects and initiatives and contribute effectively to the implementation of enterprise projects.
  • Support existing data warehouses and related solutions.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with real-time and streaming data processes.
  • Conduct proactive research into up-to-date technologies and development techniques.
  • Embrace a Continuous Improvement mindset to streamline processes and eliminate waste through automation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Identified as the technical/project lead for global projects.
  • Actively coach and mentor teams of developers.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, deadline slippages, and opportunities within projects and take timely decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and delivery accuracy.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and develop strong working relationships.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to overcome challenges and achieve desired results.
  • 5-10 years of total experience in ETL/Data Engineering, with 4+ years of relevant cloud experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
