Role Overview

We are looking for an AI-enabled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This role focuses on building robust data pipelines, automation, and AI-ready datasets that support analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Write efficient and scalable SQL and Python code for data processing
• Work with Azure data services such as:
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Azure Synapse / Databricks (as applicable)
• Participate in Tier-1 / Tier-2 support handoffs with a strong focus on automation
• Support AI/ML teams by delivering clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets
• Apply root-cause analysis to data quality and pipeline issues

Must-Have Skills

• Strong fundamentals in SQL
• Python for data manipulation and scripting
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
• Automation-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot data issues

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Airflow, dbt, or Databricks
• Basic understanding of ML/AI data requirements
• Familiarity with data quality checks and monitoring
