Data Engineer (Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, SQL, Python)

Job Description: Data Engineer (Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Aurora, AWS)

We are looking for an offshore Data Engineer to support and enhance a modern data platform built on Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, Amazon Aurora, and AWS.

This role will work with onshore architects and client data leadership to implement data pipelines, maintain DBT transformations, improve data quality, and support product-facing data warehouse workloads.

Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Databricks pipelines and jobs.

Develop and support DBT models between Databricks and Snowflake.

Support data enrichment, transformation, and validation workflows.

Assist with Snowflake performance tuning, query review, and cost awareness.

Investigate data pipeline failures and coordinate fixes with operations.

Support CDC flows from Aurora/MySQL into the analytics platform.

Document data flows, dependencies, and operational procedures.

Required skills:

4+ years in data engineering.

Strong SQL and Python.

Hands-on experience with Databricks, DBT, and Snowflake.

Experience with AWS data services, S3, RDS/Aurora, and batch/streaming pipelines.

Comfortable working in production environments with code review and release discipline.

Nice to have:

Unity Catalog, Terraform, CI/CD, data quality frameworks, CDC tooling, Snowflake Intelligence or semantic-layer experience.
