Data Engineer - Commercial

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES(Percent of Time)

1. Design and Develop Data Solutions using Azure Data Factory & Data Bricks(40%)

• Create, design, and implement efficient data pipelines, workflows, and transformation processes.
• Integrate various data sources for seamless data flow between systems.
• Optimize data processing and storage for both performance and cost-efficiency.

2. Oversee ETL/ELT Processes(20%)

• Manage and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Extract, transform, and load data efficiently from various sources to meet business requirements.

3. Cross-Team Collaboration and Learning New Technologies(20%)

• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment.
• Continuously learn and stay updated with new technologies in the data engineering domain.

4. DevOps & Agile Methodologies(10%)

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborate with teams for continuous improvement.

5. Commercial Business Knowledge(10%)

• Understand systems like SAP-ERP, Salesforce, Vistex-Rebates, Callidus, Five9, and home-grown applications around master data management.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needs.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Work with implementation partners responsible for deploying and configuring integrated solutions within the Zoetis IT landscape.
• Coordinate with developers and other team members to address technical challenges and implement integration solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience:

• 1.5–6.5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory and Data Bricks.
• Expertise in Python, Database Management, and ETL/ELT Concepts.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing CI/CD Pipelines and using Git for version control.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, ETL/ELT, Database Management (SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure DB).
• Python, SQL, CI/CD Pipelines, and Visualization Tools.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Regular Working Hours: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM IST.
• Some overlap with EST time zone may be required during production go-live.
