Data Engineer (Pune)

We are looking for self driven Data Professional, with 4+ years of experience, to be a key member of our Data Practice. The role focuses on design & development of cloud native DW/BI, Data Lake and Data Engineering solutions.

You will work on:

We help many of our clients in building advanced Data solutions (from traditional DW/BI to Data Lake, from ML to deep learning, Computer Vision, Gen AI & Automation). You will work on some of the cutting-edge Data technologies to build meaningful products & solutions.

Job Location: Pune

What you will do (Responsibilities):

• Perform high-level work both independently and collaboratively as a project member, delivering stories in a scaled agile delivery methodology.
  
• Design & development of scalable Data pipelines for large datasets, using cloud-native patterns
  
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance controls
  
• Explore new tools, technologies, frameworks in Data Stores, Data Extraction, Transformation & Integration technologies and experiments.
  
• Collaborate closely with analytics, BI, Product and business stakeholders
  
• Mentor, guide junior team members
  

What you bring (Skills):

• 4+ years of end-to-end project lifecycle experience (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment & Monitoring) in building enterprise grade Data applications
  
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Python
  
• Strong SQL and hands-on experience in RDBMS such as MySQL, Postgres etc. and/or Cloud Data Platforms as Snowflake or Google BigQuery
  
• Strong background in DW/BI and thorough understanding of Data Modelling (dimensional, denormalized /normalized)
  
• Experience on modern ETL/ELT technology stack like DBT, Matillion, Fivetran etc
  
• Experience in Cloud-based services such as Amazon AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure,
  
• Sound understanding of CI-CD, Containerization & Orchestration
  
• Working knowledge of semi-structured data handling (JSON, Parquet, Avro)
  
• Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  
• Good Team leading skills (Work breakdown, planning, tracking & execution)
  

Great if you know (Skills):

• Experience with Scrum and/or other Agile development processes
  
• Sound understanding of data visualization aspects
  
• Some exposure to NoSQL data stores such as Couchbase, Solr, etc.
  
• Experience in big data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, etc.
