Data Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong expertise in risk systems and SQL development to support transformation initiatives within a corporate banking environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assessing legacy risk platforms and enabling the transition to modern risk systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with risk, technology, and business teams to understand existing risk systems (e.g., CreditLens, ELCM, or similar platforms).
• Analyze and assess risks associated with sunsetting legacy risk systems and transitioning to new platforms.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and workflows.
• Support the implementation and productionization of new risk systems in a corporate banking environment.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL development and data processing.
• Deep understanding of risk systems such as CreditLens, ELCM, or similar banking risk platforms.
• Experience working in corporate or commercial banking environments.
• Proven ability to evaluate system migration risks and support system modernization initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with tools and platforms that support SQL-based development.
• Understanding of data architecture and modern data engineering practices.
