We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer who can build scalable data infrastructure, own analytics pipelines, and help convert raw data into actionable business intelligence.

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer at Bullet, you will be responsible for designing and managing scalable ETL pipelines, data warehouses, dashboards, and analytics systems that power product, content, growth, and monetization decisions.

This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for someone who thrives in startup environments, takes ownership, moves fast, and can work across engineering, product, marketing, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
• Design and optimize data architecture on GCP and BigQuery
• Handle structured and unstructured datasets across product, content, user, and monetization systems
• Build automated reporting systems and business dashboards
• Work closely with product, growth, content, and monetization teams to generate actionable insights
• Manage data ingestion from multiple sources including app events, APIs, payment systems, ad platforms, CRM tools, and analytics platforms
• Improve data quality, governance, monitoring, and reliability across systems
• Write optimized SQL queries and build high-performance analytical datasets
• Support real-time and batch processing workflows
• Work on big data processing and scalable analytics systems
• Help define KPIs, tracking frameworks, and decision dashboards for leadership teams
• Take ownership of end-to-end data workflows in a fast-moving startup setup

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Deep understanding of BigQuery
• Strong SQL and data modeling capabilities
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and big data environments
• Hands-on experience with dashboarding and visualization tools like:
• Looker Studio
• Tableau
• Power BI
• Metabase
• Similar BI tools
• Good understanding of data analytics and business intelligence
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow is a plus
• Understanding of APIs, event tracking systems, and streaming pipelines is preferred
• Familiarity with product analytics and consumer internet metrics is an advantage
