To be successful as a Data Engineer, you should have experience with:
- AWS support: AWS Support experience/AWS platform support of AWS, EC2, S3 bucket, Glue jobs.
- API Support: Working experience/understanding of API, aPaaS technologies, OpenShift, database and interfaces.
- Linux/Unix Environment Support Expertise: Working knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and scripting for automation and optimization.
- Familiarity with server configurations, log management, and shell scripting.
- Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
- Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Documenting configurations, processes, and best practices for the team.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to address complex challenges & effective trouble-shooter towards production support issues in Prod tech API environments.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- API issues analysis: Must understand Kibana log aggregator tool.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance and support: Regularly monitoring system health and ensuring platform stability. Applying patches.
- Knowledge of Alerting & Monitoring tools like AppD, Netcool etc.
- Good to have knowledge on Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- ITIL v3 certified and troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving system, application, and performance-related issues.
- Providing technical support and collaborating with other IT teams to resolve issues promptly.

Purpose of the role
To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Accountabilities
- Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
- Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
- Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
