Data Engineer Architect
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer Architect with a strong background in data engineering, distributed data systems, and cloud-based architectures. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) sector, with proven ability to design and deliver enterprise-grade data solutions that drive innovation and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture and engineering solutions aligned with business needs.
- Consult with clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Architect and manage distributed data systems and cloud data platforms to support advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
- Collaborate with data scientists to enable machine learning model development, including feature engineering and model evaluation.
- Drive adoption of modern BI tools and frameworks/packages for Generative AI and advanced analytics.
- Ensure compliance with data governance practices, including metadata management, data quality, master data management, and data security.
- Oversee large-scale production-grade systems leveraging DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation technologies.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, methodologies, and paradigms in the evolving data science landscape.
- Manage resource planning, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement across organizational levels.
- Integrate new techniques and technologies to solve complex business challenges and foster innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, in the BFSI sector.
- Strong understanding of banking and financial services domains and enterprise analytics data assets.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud data architecture, distributed systems, and modern BI tools.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders.
- Proven ability to design and deliver production-grade systems using best-in-class software engineering practices.
- Good appreciation of data governance topics including metadata, data quality, master data, and security management.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions is an advantage.
