Data Engineer

Role

We are looking for hands-on Data Engineers with solid experience in modern data engineering practices, especially around ELT, dbt and Snowflake.

The consultants will contribute to the design, development, migration and validation of data pipelines in a structured delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Build, optimize and document data models in Snowflake.
• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable ELT workflows.
• Support the migration of existing legacy data workloads to a modern data platform.
• Implement data quality checks, tests and reconciliation controls.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects and technical leads.
• Ensure clean, modular and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation and delivery governance.
• Investigate data issues and support root cause analysis.
• Contribute to industrialization best practices around CI/CD, testing and deployment.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with dbt.
• Strong experience with Snowflake.
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Good understanding of modern ELT principles.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable data transformation pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, documented and tested code.
• Experience with data quality, testing and reconciliation.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a structured project environment.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in data migration projects.
• Experience in data platform modernization programs.
• Experience migrating from legacy technologies to modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience in insurance, banking or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge of Data Vault modelling.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in distributed or offshore delivery teams.
