Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer 2 to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with extensive experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data ingestion and processing.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and requirements.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes.
Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficiency and performance.
Work with cloud services and big data technologies to build and enhance data infrastructure.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Skills and Qualifications

7-10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and processing.
Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
