Data Engineer, 18 months contract (Digital Payment/ Fintech)

This is an 18-months contract hire.

As a data engineer you will analyze complex data sets to provide insights that drive business decisions. Your role will also involve performing data analysis and present business findings to business stakeholders or leadership to power business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze complex datasets
• Collaborate with BSA, domain teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including ETL pipelines and data visualizations
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions
• Build BI dashboards based on business requirements
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with organizational standards
• Troubleshoot and debug data gaps, anomalies, and issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Experience in using SQL for data querying & extraction.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or JAVA
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing and ETL design patterns
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive or Spark will be an added advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms will be an added advantage.
