Data Engineer

1-2-Taste is looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing team in Chennai and help build the data foundation powering our B2B food ingredients platform.

In this role, you'll work across GCP, Azure, Zoho, WooCommerce, Analytics, data pipelines, automation and AI to make our data more reliable, accessible and useful for business decisions.

Responsibilities / Scope

• Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines across multiple business systems.
• Develop and maintain GCP-based pipeline infrastructure.
• Design and maintain Azure data warehouses and databases.
• Build data models supporting Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.
• Maintain data consistency and a single source of truth across systems.
• Enable dashboards, AI-driven systems and automated workflows.
• Develop automation to reduce manual data preparation and improve data quality.
• Monitor pipeline reliability, data availability and performance.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Operations or a related field.
• Strong experience with GCP and Azure data platforms.
• Hands-on experience in data pipelines, ETL, databases and data warehousing.
• Experience with data automation and AI/Generative AI approaches.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Experience in the food ingredients industry is a plus.
