JobSummary:We are looking for a skilled Data Cloud Developer to join our team and support the expansion of our data ingestion, processing, and retrieval capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Customer Data Platform), strong data engineering skills, and the ability to design scalable search and retrieval frameworks. This role will involve enhancing existing data pipelines, integrating new product-related data sources, refining search indexes, and ensuring optimal data relevance and performance.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Data Modeling & Query Design
  Design, refine, and optimize Product Queries based on additional product attributes and new web data introduced in subsequent phases.
  Work closely with product and data teams to ensure data models reflect business needs.
  
• Data Pre‑Processing & Integration
  Collaborate with the WSI Data Team to identify required data pre-processing, transformations, or structural updates prior to ingestion into Data Cloud.
  Implement and validate updates ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  
• Data Ingestion & Search Index Enhancement
  Ingest newly onboarded data fields and datasets into Data Cloud.
  Update existing Search Indexes and Retrievers to reflect expanded data coverage and ensure optimal retrieval performance.
  
• Product Manuals – Data Streams & Retrieval
  Create new Data Streams, Search Indexes, and Retrievers dedicated to Product Manuals.
  Define and apply an appropriate chunking strategy based on document type, structure, length, and user retrieval needs.
  
• Performance & Relevance Validation
  Validate the relevance, accuracy, and latency of data returned via Data Cloud Search.
  Conduct A/B tests, fine-tuning, and relevance scoring improvements when needed.
  
• Deployment & Configuration Migration
  Prepare and migrate all validated configurations into UAT and Production environments.
  Ensure smooth deployments following internal DevOps/governance guidelines and provide support during UAT testing cycles.
  
  

Requirements:

• 4–9 years of experience as a Data Cloud Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including Data Streams, Data Explorer, Data Model Objects, Calculated Insights, and Data Cloud Indexing.
  
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT pipelines, data processing frameworks, and JSON/structured datasets.
  
• Experience designing and managing search indexes, embeddings, and retrievers.
  
• Strong understanding of data chunking strategies and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks.
  
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  
  

Good To Have Skills:

• Experience with LLM-based search, semantic search, vector indexing, or knowledge retrieval systems.
  
• Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem tools and deployment processes (CI/CD, UAT, Production migrations).
  
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for data processing.
