Job Overview

The Data Center Project Head role at Jio is a senior-level, full-time position based in Mumbai. This leader will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center projects, ensuring seamless integration with Jio's advanced telecom and digital platforms. The position requires hands-on expertise in data centers, project management, hyperscale infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs within a fast-paced, innovative telecom environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in overseeing and delivering end-to-end data center projects (Mandatory skill), ensuring deployment, integration, and operational excellence at scale.
• Proven track record of advanced project management capabilities (Mandatory skill), including driving timelines, resource allocation, and budget compliance for complex infrastructure programs.
• Hands-on experience managing hyperscale environments (Mandatory skill), with deep knowledge of large-scale infrastructure challenges, configuration, and scaling strategies.
• Experience in change management initiatives, successfully guiding large teams and stakeholders through process and technical changes in evolving technology landscapes.
• Strong background in data center design, encompassing architectural planning, redundancy, energy efficiency, scalability, and security standards.
• Proficiency in risk management practices, identifying and mitigating project, technical, and operational risks while ensuring business continuity and compliance.
• Familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) processes, aligning overall project execution with global best practices from conception through commissioning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and lead cross-discipline teams towards aligned business objectives in an agile setting.

Experience - 25+ years of experience

Role and Responsibility

1.Techno-commercial person, having experience of Project Management, Development and Execution of Hyperscale data centers / mission-critical facilities

2.Responsible for identification of Project requirements and establishing Project definition, scope and Execution Strategy. Responsible for overall Project Management and e2e delivery of Project within defined Cost, Schedule, Quality and Safety parameters

3.Ensure compliance and adherance to all the established processes and systems by all stakeholders

4.Interface with all internal and external stakeholders including PMC, EPCM, Engineering, P&C and Construction to ensure all are aligned to the Project requirements

5.Implement Change Management Processes are ensuring all changes pertaining to Design / Project requirements are affected and stakeholders aligned

6.Implement Risk Management Processes to ensure that risks are timely identified and mitigated.
