Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with deep expertise in Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and BI/Data Modelling. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in building scalable cloud data platforms, designing architecture blueprints, and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions across multiple enterprise-grade projects.

Architecture Experience:

4+ years defining architecture blueprints for scalable cloud-based data and analytics platforms.

Extensive experience preparing:

• High-Level Design (HLD) documents
• Low-Level Design (LLD) documents
• Data models and reporting architecture

Strong background in data modelling, semantic layer design, and data consumption frameworks.

7+ years converting business requirements into technical specifications and delivering complete BI/data solutions.

Demonstrated ability to independently lead solution design discussions with Business and IT stakeholders.

Customer Engagement & Leadership

• Proven experience collaborating with business users, product owners, and technology teams to gather requirements and define solution architecture.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, guide architectural decisions, and present solution options clearly.
• Experience leading data modernization, cloud migration, and data platform transformation initiatives.
• Mentored junior data engineers and provided hands-on technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable Azure-based data platforms.
• Build robust data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers using ADF, Synapse, Databricks, and Fabric.
• Develop reliable ELT pipelines and complex data models for analytics.
• Create HLD/LLD documentation, architecture diagrams, and reusable data assets.
• Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into optimized data solutions.
• Implement Power BI data models, DAX measures, and enterprise-grade reporting solutions.
• Ensure pipeline reliability, performance, governance, and monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end data modernization and cloud data engineering initiatives.

Primary Skills:

Recent 5+ years of experience working with Azure Data Engineering solutions including ADF, Synapse, and orchestration of end-to-end data pipelines. 5+projects

4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, at least 4 projects

2+ years of experience in Power BI

Around 1 year experience in Fabric DE

Microsoft Fabric:

Worked with Direct Lake, One Lake, and Lakehouse's in Fabric

Built and orchestrated end-to-end data pipelines using Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks

Good to have experience working with Fabric Copilots

Power BI:

Experience in Power BI Pro, Premium

use of DAX, Power Query, and M language

Experience with Dataflows, Incremental Refresh
