Job Title:
Data Architect
Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):
- Assess and analyze source and target systems for migration readiness
- Define data migration strategy, scope, and approach
- Design end-to-end data migration architecture and workflows
- Identify and map data between legacy and target systems
- Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity during migration
- Create and execute data validation and reconciliation plans
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
- Manage migration tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory)
- Plan and execute data migration testing (unit, system, UAT)
- Monitor and troubleshoot migration issues and performance bottlenecks
- Document migration processes, mappings, and configurations
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
- Support cutover planning and execution during go-live
- Provide post-migration support and issue resolution
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Data migration strategy and planning
- Source-to-target data mapping
- ETL development and optimization (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory)
- Data profiling and cleansing
- Data validation and reconciliation techniques
- SQL and database expertise (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Cloud migration tools and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of legacy and modern ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
- Data governance and compliance awareness
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Risk assessment and mitigation planning
- Cutover planning and execution
- Documentation and process standardization
- Stakeholder communication and coordination
- Agile and project management methodologies
Experience required:
- Experience of minimum 8 - 10 years as Data Architect
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience of managing and working with people from different ethnicity and culture.
