Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Data, BigQuery, Looker, and the broader GCP AI & Data ecosystem. The individual will play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms, driving advanced analytics initiatives, and enabling AI adoption across business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native data architectures on GCP.
- Build scalable data pipelines, analytical models, and governed data layers using BigQuery, Looker, and related GCP services.
- Lead data modernization programs and migrate workloads to GCP.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define analytics use cases and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Support AI/ML initiatives using GCP's AI tools (e.g., Vertex AI).
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and cost optimization across the platform.
- Provide technical leadership, best practices, and architectural guidance to engineering and analytics teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery, Looker/LookML, and other GCP data services.
- Solid understanding of data engineering, data modeling, and analytics workflows.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and GCP AI tools.
- Experience designing enterprise data solutions and modern data architectures.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud certifications (Data Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar).
- Experience with streaming pipelines, data governance, and ML Ops is a plus.
- Background working on large-scale enterprise analytics programs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
