About the Team:
Regulatory & Compliance Technology function is part of Corporate Services Technology group and focused on delivering strategic platforms and solutions across Regulatory Reporting and Compliance domain, including U.S. Regulatory Reporting, KYC, AML, Sanctions, Transactions Screening etc.
Role Summary:
The Global KYC Data Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the end-to-end data architecture for the enterprise KYC (Know Your Customer) landscape across all regions and jurisdictions. This role ensures a scalable, compliant, and standardized data architecture that supports regulatory obligations, client onboarding, analytics, and reporting capabilities globally.
The architect will own the development and maintenance of the Enterprise KYC Data Model – ODS, including definition of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models, ensuring consistency of source data across platforms. The role will work closely with business, regulatory, technology, security, and data governance teams to drive data standardization, quality, lineage, and interoperability across the KYC ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the Global KYC Enterprise Data Architecture and target-state data blueprint.
- Produce and govern Logical Data Models (LDM) and Physical Data Models (PDM) for KYC platforms and associated data domains.
- Establish enterprise-wide standards for customer, account, entity, ownership, risk, and regulatory data.
- Ensure data models align with business capabilities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Evaluate and incorporate data residency, sovereignty, and cross-border data transfer requirements across jurisdictions.
- Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure KYC data solutions comply with local regulations while maintaining a global operating model.
- Maintain and evolve the Enterprise Data Model and define integration patterns across KYC, onboarding, and other systems in this ecosystem.
- Define data lineage, metadata standards. Drive data quality, consistency, reconciliation, and stewardship practices across KYC data assets.
- Collaborate with cloud, platform, security, and governance teams to ensure architectural alignment and regulatory compliance.
- Support regulatory audits, data control assessments, and remediation initiatives related to customer and KYC data.
- Provide architectural oversight for strategic transformation programs involving customer lifecycle management, entity resolution, and client data modernization.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Management.
- Strong experience in Financial Services, Banking, KYC, AML, or Client Lifecycle Management (CLM).
- Proven expertise in developing and maintaining Logical Data Models (LDMs) and Physical Data Models (PDMs).
- Experience defining and maintaining Enterprise Data Models for KYC and supporting business domains.
- Strong understanding of customer, counterparty, legal entity, and reference data domains.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Knowledge of data residency, data sovereignty, privacy, and cross-border data transfer regulations.
- Experience designing data solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with data integration, APIs, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, compliance, and technology teams.
- Experience supporting global initiatives across multiple regions and regulatory jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- TOGAF, CDMP, Azure, or equivalent architecture/data certifications preferred.
