Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Integration Architecture Design & Strategy

  • Design, develop, and maintain the overall data integration architecture for TVH, encompassing various systems, applications, and data sources (on-premise and cloud).
  • Define and implement integration patterns (e.g., batch, real-time, API-driven, message queues) and standards to ensure consistency, reusability, and scalability.
  • Evaluate and recommend integration technologies, middleware, and tools that align with business needs and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Develop integration roadmaps and strategies to support new business initiatives and modernize existing data flows.

Solution Design & Implementation Oversight

  • Lead and validate the technical design of complex data integration solutions, including mapping data flows, defining transformation rules, and ensuring data quality and integrity during transit.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and development teams to oversee the implementation, testing, and deployment of integration solutions.
  • Ensure integration solutions adhere to performance, security, auditability, and error-handling requirements.

API Management & Governance

  • Design and govern API strategies for data exchange, ensuring proper documentation, security, versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Work with application teams to define API contracts and best practices for consuming and exposing data.

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving

  • Act as a subject matter expert for all data integration-related challenges, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing data integration processes and propose optimization strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data integration and enterprise application integration (EAI).

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with business users, data owners, application teams, and other architects to gather requirements and ensure integration solutions meet functional and non-functional needs.
  • Clearly communicate complex integration concepts, designs, and technical decisions to diverse audiences.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for integration architectures, data flows, APIs, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in designing and implementing complex data integration solutions.
  • Proven expertise with various data integration patterns (e.g., ETL/ELT, API integrations, message queuing, event-driven architectures, pub/sub models).
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used for integrations (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Extensive experience with integration platforms and middleware technologies (e.g., OIC, Kafka, Kong, Fivetran, Boomi, Workato and others e.g; Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend, or cloud-native integration services like GCP Dataflow/Pub/Sub, Azure Data Factory/Service Bus).
  • Solid understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP) and API management platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and their relevant integration services.
  • Strong knowledge of data security, governance, and quality best practices in the context of data movement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deploying integration services.
  • Familiarity with DataOps practices in an integration context.
  • Experience with master data management (MDM) and customer data platforms (CDP) integrations.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
