Job Description – Data Architect
Location: Remote
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with 12+ years of expertise in designing scalable enterprise data solutions, modern data platforms, and cloud-based architectures. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, data governance, cloud ecosystems, and enterprise integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture and strategy.
- Build scalable data models, data lakes, warehouses, and modern analytics platforms.
- Define data standards, governance frameworks, security, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead cloud data migration and modernization initiatives.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across systems.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and architectural improvements.
- Mentor development and engineering teams on data architecture best practices.
- Support performance tuning and optimization of data platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Data Architecture and enterprise data strategy.
- Expertise in SQL, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Big Data technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as:
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- Experience with:
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Redshift / Synapse / BigQuery
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools:
- Informatica
- Talend
- SSIS
- Azure Data Factory
- Apache Airflow
- Good understanding of:
- Data Governance
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Data Security
- Metadata Management
- Experience in API integrations and enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SAP data ecosystems is an advantage.
- Exposure to AI/ML data platforms and real-time streaming architecture.
- Certifications in cloud/data technologies preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
