Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure platform and data architect to build data strategy, architect and design analytics platform leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics, Dedicated SQL Pools, Event Hubs, Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The role requires strong knowledge of integration, ETL understanding, optimization practices in a complex enterprise-scale azure environment.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong experience in batch and streaming data pipelines using services in Azure like ADF, event hub, synapse, Databricks

Designing scalable, secure, and optimized cloud solutions using framework approach

Strong data modelling exposure implementing physical models

Experience in spark compute configuration and troubleshooting.

Understanding DevOps practices, GitLab pipelines, and Azure DevOps integration.

Good exposure with Azure Identity management (SPN, UMI, MI).

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end azure analytics solutions tailored to business use cases and goals.

Define architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, consumption and visualization.

Ensure scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of the platform per data strategy

Evaluate and recommend Azure services (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI).

Align technology choices with enterprise architecture approved services and standards

Work closely with business stakeholders and customer engineering teams to gather requirements and

translate same into technical specifications and architecture designs.

Design logical and physical data models based on conceptual models from engineering teams

Ensure efficient data ingestion (batch and streaming) and processing data pipelines implementing optimizations

Design data storage solutions implementing partitioning and lifecycle management strategies

Experience in Data security design and compliance ensuring RBAC implementation and adhere to GDPR like data requirements

Exposure to setting up log monitoring, email alerts using data dog

Experience in leading data engineering team in development project on cloud platform for both onshore and offshore

Knowledge of snowflakes, Kubernetes and graph QL will be an added advantage

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
