Role: Data Architect

Job Description:We are looking for a senior data architect to own the operational data model on sql server and the data warehouse and analytics layer. The role spans two foundational pillars of our data layer and requires horizontal influence across every product team.

Responsibilities:1. own the operational data model on sql server

2. own the data warehouse and analytics layer

3. stay deeply hands-on with sql, modeling, and pipeline code

4. govern the data layer for multi-tenant saas

5. set data standards across product teams

6. build the bi and analytics platform

7. partner with the ai team on data for ai

8. own data quality, lineage, and governance9. lead architecture reviews and design partnerships10. multiply senior data talent11. own the hardest production data problems12. drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions

SQL Server Expertise (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server at production scale
• Experience solving:
• Deadlocks & concurrency issues
• Blocking & tempdb contention
• Query optimization & execution plans
• Parameter sniffing & plan cache issues
• Large table partitioning
• Multi-tenant noisy neighbor problems
• OLTP + reporting workload balancing
• AlwaysOn / Read replicas / Replication

Multi-Tenant SaaS Architecture

• Experience designing enterprise SaaS data platforms
• Tenant isolation strategies
• Row-level security (RLS)
• Schema versioning
• Tenant onboarding/offboarding

Data Warehouse Architecture

• Strong expertise in:
• Kimball & Inmon methodologies
• Star & Snowflake schemas
• Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
• Semantic modeling
• Conformed dimensions
• ETL/ELT architecture

AWS Data Stack

Hands-on experience with:

• Redshift
• Glue
• S3
• Athena
• EMR
• Kinesis / MSK
• DMS
• RDS SQL Server / Aurora

BI & Analytics

Experience with:

• Power BI / QuickSight / Looker
• Semantic models
• Embedded analytics
• Customer-facing dashboards
