Data Annotation Team Lead Intern

We are hiring a Data Annotation Team Lead Intern to support the execution and quality management of data annotation projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to build leadership experience in AI data operations while working closely with senior team leads and project managers. You will help coordinate annotators, perform quality checks, and ensure smooth day-to-day project execution.

This is a hands-on, in-person internship based out of our Delhi office.

Responsibilities

• Support senior team leads in managing day-to-day annotation tasks across image, video, and text projects
• Act as the first point of contact for a small group of annotators and help track their progress
• Perform basic quality checks and flag accuracy or guideline issues
• Assist in onboarding and training new annotators on tools and project guidelines
• Help document processes, instructions, and common errors for the team
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
• Escalate complex quality or operational issues to senior team members

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or final-year student in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field
• Prior exposure to data annotation, labeling, or quality review is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines
• Good communication skills and confidence in coordinating with team members
• Basic familiarity with annotation tools or similar platforms
• Willingness to work from our Delhi office

Good to have

• Experience with image, video, or text annotation projects
• Interest in AI, machine learning, or data operations
• Prior experience mentoring juniors or leading small teams in college or internships
