Data Annotation Freelancer

About the role

We are looking for experienced individual freelancers to annotate image datasets for industrial computer vision projects, on a per-image pricing basis. The work involves annotating images of real manufacturing products for AI-based defect detection. Annotation requirements, including segmentation and individual object annotation, will vary by use case and will be shared with clear guidelines for each project.

Key responsibilities

• Image annotation: annotate images as per project-specific guidelines, including segmentation and individual object annotation.
• Defect labelling: accurately label defects and features on industrial products.
• Consistency: maintain consistent quality across large batches of images.
• Timely delivery: deliver annotated datasets in the agreed format and timeline.
• Revisions: make corrections based on feedback from our AI team.

Requirements

• Experience: proven experience in image annotation, preferably for computer vision or AI projects.
• Tools: familiarity with standard annotation tools such as CVAT, Label Studio or Roboflow.
• Industry exposure: experience with industrial, defect-detection or manufacturing datasets is a plus.
• Quality: strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed guidelines.
• Engagement: individual freelancers only, no agencies.
• Availability: available for coordination during 10 AM to 7 PM IST, Monday to Friday.
